Antipollution Egypt Surpasses 1,000 Vessels Served

Antipollution Egypt proudly announces the successful servicing of more than 1,000 vessels within just 53 consecutive days of uninterrupted operations, marking a pivotal milestone in its strategic partnership with the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and reinforcing its standing as a leading provider in marine waste collection and management.  Since the commencement of operations on May 14, 2025, the company has demonstrated exceptional performance, having delivered Port Reception Facility (PRF) services to 1,000 vessels. This operational success was achieved through the coordinated efforts of specialized executives from Antipollution Egypt and trained contractor personnel, who ensured the seamless and efficient execution of all procedures. 

Impressive results 

According to key performance indicators, fully equipped floating units in strict compliance with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations and the MARPOL Convention, including MEPC Resolutions 295(71), 201(62), 314(74), 360(79) and other relevant provisions, resulting in a daily impressive average service time of only 26 minutes per vessel.

Vessel categories 

During the operational period, Antipollution Egypt serviced a wide array of vessel types, including 213 bulk carriers, 110 general cargo ships, 18 chemical tankers, 116 container ships, 324 oil tankers, 175 product tankers, 31 miscellaneous vessels, 17 roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) ships, and 2 passenger vessels. Among the largest vessels serviced from the CMA CGM fleet were CMA CGM ADONIS (154,000 SCNT), CMA CGM OSIRIS (151,000 SCNT), and CMA CGM HERMES (158,000 SCNT), while the cruise ship AROYA also stands out as a notable operation. International protocols have been applied, with emphasis placed on the speed, transparency, and cooperation demonstrated in coordination with local agents. The company has also initiated a pilot awareness campaign focused on onboard waste segregation, in alignment with Annex V of the MARPOL Convention.
